Selected Works
I started writing film reviews in 2009. Thankfully, those pieces are nearly impossible to find on the Internet. Years later I founded Movie Mezzanine, a film-focused website that gave a platform to many wonderful writers around the world. In that period (before and during college) I wrote criticism and conducted interviews for a variety of publications, including Vanity Fair, The Atlantic, NPR, VICE, Forbes, NY Magazine, Vogue, and Playboy. None of that would’ve been possible without the late Roger Ebert. I can’t promise any of it is any good, but here are a handful of selected pieces. Thanks for stopping by.
Jeff Nichols Courts Mainstream Success, but on His Own Terms, 2016 (Vanity Fair)
We’re in Disarray: An Interview with Spike Lee, 2015 (The Atlantic)

Werner Herzog Is Ready for the End of the World, 2016 (The New Republic)
Every Episode of Seinfeld, Ranked, 2015 (Vanity Fair)
Jesse Eisenberg Won’t Read This Interview, 2016 (VICE)
The Man Who Scared the World With 3D Printed Guns Isn't Going Anywhere, 2017 (Motherboard)
